🧵Antisemitism is alive and well on the King County Council @KCCouncil

Today you might see stories about the council passing a resolution on antisemitism. I am not celebrating this and whatever you hear won't be the full story.
Across the country, municipalities are adopting the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance's working definition of antisemitism which includes anti-Zionism as antisemitism

Far-left activists in King County got wind of this & geared up to stop it

Us Jews rarely agree on anything. It was truly historic that every synagogue in King County with the exception of one signed onto supporting the IHRA's working definition of antisemitism. Orthodox, Conservative, and Reform congregations plus other Jewish orgs all supported it
According to the ADL, Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) is "a radical anti-Israel and anti-Zionist activist group that advocates for the boycott of Israel and eradication of Zionism."

Their activists started pressuring the council.

Yet the council is listening to them
.@CMSarahPerry is one of them. Yesterday she packed public comment at the council with JVP members who lied and said they represent the Jewish community so they could stand in opposition to the adoption of the non-binding bi-partisan IHRA definitions

The IHRA working definition is supported by the Biden administration and Republicans. The far-left activists claim to speak for our Jewish community but they don't. They are also allied with the Muslim Association of the Puget Sound (MAPS) which has opposed the IHRA definition.
Today the council will be passing a watered-down version of a resolution against antisemitism, one supported by self-hating Jews and antisemites.

This is not a win for the Jewish community. It is a tremendous loss and we will not forget

Medical staffing was already an issue before Inslee's mandate & he made it worse

NATURAL IMMUNITY🧵:Jeffrey Duchin,Chief of Communicable Disease Epidemiology & Immunization for Public Health–Seattle & King County made an "executive decision" that the "vax verification policy" should "exempt people with history of COVID-19 in the past 90 days"
He was overruled
He was overruled by the group according to Cyndi Schaeffer Deputy Director at Seattle-King County Department of Public Health because they heard "...from small businesses that this would be too cumbersome, that we would not go with accepting proof of COVID infection"
The thread was part of a longer discussion about requiring vax verification/negative COVID tests etc. for events with the subject line "Vaccine/testing requirement for Husky Football"

Geoffrey Gottlieb of UW Medicine also pointed out the ongoing issue of "persistent positives"

CRINGE: Biden federal district court nominee Judge Charnelle Bjelkengren, from Washington state's Spokane County Superior Court, cannot answer simple questions about the Articles of the US Constitution during Senate Judiciary Committee hearing
Later in the hearing, Judge Bjelkengren could not answer a question on a legal theory that is currently before the US Supreme Court.
Judge Bjelkengren was appointed to the Spokane County Superior Court by Democrat Governor Jay Inslee

NEW🧵 One week before Governor Jay Inslee (D) imposed the vax mandate on state workers which he claimed would stop them from spreading the virus, Jeff Duchin of King County wrote in an email that vaccinated people "if they do get COVID-19 they may be able to spread it to others."
The email threads were part of an ongoing discussion on how health officials were seeing more "breakthrough cases" and as opposed to warning the public, they were trying to sugarcoat the messaging.
They already knew over 37% of the vaccinated were getting covid and were tracking super spreader events among people who were fully vaccinated, yet almost a month after that, they were lying and claiming "less than 1% of vaccinated people get COVID"

🧵IGNORING SCIENCE & DATA: A 7/1/21 study said there was "a very low risk for COVID-19 infection attributable to patient encounters among EMS first responders, supporting clinical strategies that maintain established practices for treating patients in emergency conditions"
The study was published a month before Democrat Gov Jay Inslee announced vax mandates for state & healthcare workers as well as first responders, which was replicated by many WA counties and cities. Yet he insisted on calling those who refused the jab "bio-reactor facilities"
Months later he still demonized the unvaxed & compared them to domestic terrorists
Inslee laments staffing shortages in healthcare emergency services & transportation but refuses to remove the vax mandate from many state agencies
He also doesn't require the jab for subcontractors

FOLLOW THE SCIENCE & DATA 🧵: Snohomish County officials in a 7/30/21 email with chief of Seattle & King County Public Health Jeff Duchin discussed "breakthrough cases," a week before Democrat Governor Jay Inslee instituted vax mandates claiming it would stop the spread
According to their 7/1-20 data:
15% of cases were breakthrough
25% of hospitalizations were breakthrough per data for the same period
20% of deaths were breakthrough

Yet the mandate was replicated by cities & counties including many whose health experts noted breakthrough cases
The email was part of a thread from Dr. Yuan-Po Tu at the Everett clinic who wrote: "About 20% of the positive tests in TEC are break through/fully vaccinated. ALL 3 vaccines are breaking through"
