Got ahold of a brilliant book on figure drawing by Michael Hampton, thought I’d try applying his technique and doing some quick studies. I’m pleased to discover that I quite enjoy his approach to sketching and rendering the human figure, and hope to get into it properly soon. It’s tricky getting the knack of using block shapes for the rib cage and pelvis, not to mention remembering to apply the armature for the rest of the body.
