Mother-of-one Rachael Finch has flipped her car during the Mazda celebrity challenge race at the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne on Saturday.

The 25-year-old, who gave birth to her daughter Violet just five months ago, escaped the dramatic accident unscathed.

During the incident, her car was also hit by fellow celebrity driver, Clint Stanaway.

Finch’s husband Michael Miziner witnessed the crash while standing track side with the couple’s baby daughter Violet.

After several racing stewards rushed to her aid, Rachael emerged from her smashed car smiling and waving to a very relieved crowd.

he was promptly checked over by onsite paramedics who gave her the all clear and escorted her off the track.

Hours after the crash she tweeted: ‘Certainly didn’t think when I got up this morning I’d be rolling my car hours later! That’s racing as they say. Back of grid tomorrow grr!’
