Ceropegia ampliata is a twining plant native to South Africa. It has long succulent stems that grow from tuberous roots. Like other members of the ceropegia genus, this plant has tubular flowers that have evolved to temporarily trap insects within for the purpose of pollination. The unique appearance of the flowers has earned this species the common name of "Bushman's Pipe".
