Lonicera dioica (WOODLAND HONEYSUCKLE)

We are very excited to list this seldom-offered wild honeysuckle. It’s an attractive, short-statured climber that sports bright red flowers in late spring followed by pinkish-red berries in early summer. It grows in a range of habitats from dry savannas to swamp borders and fens. We encounter it in mesic woods where it rambles over fallen logs and through the branches of larger shrubs and understory trees.

This year we’re offering super-vigorous, extra-large plants, shipped dormant with a minimal root-ball. In some cases, the vines will be trimmed prior to shipment, but they’ll be ready to push-out lots of new growth in the spring. We can’t guarantee they’ll flower during the next growing season, but they are definitely flowering-size. We have a very limited supply, so reserve yours now!
