Jimmy LeGuilloux has been described as one of the most perseverant musicians in the biz. Up until 2020 he was known to still perform over 200 shows a year. Recording the wealth of talent in the BC interior, and spending time with his kids are also top of the list.
In 2018 Jimmy abbreviated the band name to "JimmyLegs" to make searching the online music easier.
Some highlights from the past:
-2019 found Jimmy joining tribute bands paying homage to music legends Tom Petty and Gord Downie (Tragically hip) and taking on his first acting role in the Who’s “Tommy”
-He also wrapped up a five year run of his radio show “New music review with Jimmy LeGuilloux” with Sue Tyler on Power104 radio.
-Sept 2018 Skookum festival, Vancouver BC with award winning indiginous artist Kelly Derrickson.
-2018 Jimmy recieved the Anita Tozer memorial award for his significant contribution to the quality of life in his home city of Kelowna BC
-2017, 2018 Jimmy appeared in 2 runs of New vintage theatre's production of ROCK OF AGES. Many of the shows sold out and broke attendance records at the venue.
-Jimmy wrapped up a 25 year run of the Whiski Jacks charity concert ROCK4KIDS with a final show featuring many of the bands who shaped the Kelowna music scene.
The charity raised close to $400,000 towards the kids care campaign.
-2017 Jimmy travelled to perform in Japan for the happy skiers in Nagano.
-2014: June 28- Headlined KInsmen summer musicfest with LEFTY and THE RIFT
-August 1 -Opened for Steel wheels at Boogie bash, Rock creek BC.
-Dec. 2, 2012 Whiski jacks "Rock4kids" opening for Vancouver's ODDS.
-August 31, 2012 Headlined "Music in the park" West Kelowna music festival.
-July 13, 2012 Great Canadian bike rally, Merritt BC w/ Harlequin, Streetheart.
-Mar 25, 2012 Okanagan Spring fling, Big White Ski resort
-Sept 18, 2011 Opening for Honeymoon suite. Sapphire niteclub, Kelowna BC
-Aug 27, 2011 Performed for Harley Davidson Canada. Kamloops event centre, Kamloops BC
-July 22 ,2011 Wild Salmon Festival. Lumby BC w/ Fellow Kelowna band "Young'uns"
-July 14, 2011 Great Canadian bike rally. Merritt, BC. On the same bill as Chilliwack, Colin James
-July 1, 2011 Funtastic music festival, Vernon BC. Opening for Great White!
-June 4, 2011 Actionfest, Summerland BC. Same bill as Shari Ulrich, Jerry Doucette.
-May 28, 2011 Kreater cycle Ride n' Rock, Kelowna BC. Opening for Kim Mitchell
Jim has shared the stage with Kim Mitchell, Keith Emerson, Darby Mills and tons of recording artists over the years! Playing music goes without question for Jim. He has played shows internationally, in the U.S., JAPAN, New Zealand and the U.K. while remaining content to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere that the okanagan has to offer.When asked about his most memorable experiences, he speaks fondly of his former bands and most notably "Who's on Bass?" and their gigs in Las Vegas, UK.
Jim's C.D. titled "SONGS THAT I LOVE" features his history of recordings from 2010 back to the "80's. "Birthday suit"-Universal juveniles was added to Power104 and generated income and airplay for almost the whole summer of 2010. Jim's song "Kaisha", (1995) was in gold rotation. It has been heard worldwide as far away as New Zealand and Australia!
Jim can be found playing gigs in the Kelowna area and says his favorites are the ski resorts in winter and Houseboats and Outdoor festivals in the summer.
Jimmy had been producing and engineering many local up and coming artists including "Fields of green" (Indie alt pop,top 20 finalists in peak performance project 2011, winners of Vancouver seeds 2012)
