Gigi Leung marries Spanish boyfriend

4 Oct – Hong Kong singer-actress Gigi Leung married her Spanish boyfriend, Sergio, at a beach in Ibiza, Spain, after just 5 months of dating, according to a report by Oriental Daily's website.

The 35-year-old got married on the eve of her ex-boyfriend's birthday Ekin Cheng and presented Sergio with a watch valued at HK $90, 000 (SG $15, 122).

The wedding was said to have incorporated both western and eastern elements and when the couple was officially pronounced married, Gigi was quoted as saying ""Sergio truly treats me very well. I never thought that I will encounter a person who treats me so well, a man who is very attentive and makes each day together appear like a dream! My mother and younger brother like him a lot too! Even my friends are full of compliments towards Sergio. I feel truly blissful!"

The HK $4 million (SG $672, 125) wedding saw attendance by eighty family members and friends from both sides of the couple's family, which arrived from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Canada, Great Britain and the United States.
