She’s not afraid to show a bit of skin, but Amanda Holden has upped the flesh-baring ante by posing completely naked in a new campaign encouraging fans to go vegetarian.

The 45-year-old Britain’s Got Talent presenter can be seen lying completely nude on top of a bed of vegetables for PETA’s latest campaign to encourage people to ditch eating meat.

The message behind the advert is to try and highlight how vegetarians are, on average, slimmer than meat-eaters and have lower rates of heart disease and cancer.

And in a bid to showcase the effects being a vegetarian has had on her body, Amanda agreed to the image being 100% au natural, meaning no re-touching whatsoever. Brave lady!

“When PETA suggested not retouching this image, I said, “Why not?” – the image is as natural as my lifestyle,” she says.

In an accompanying video, Amanda, who has been a vegetarian since her early teens, spoke of the benefits of going meat-free, crediting the lifestyle with clearer skin and helping her to keep in shape.

“My vegetarian lifestyle keeps my body trim, gives me loads of energy and makes me feel happy,” she explains.

“I have been a vegetarian since I was 13. For me, there are many benefits. My skin’s always good. I never feel bloated.

And Amanda also had a message to anyone thinking it would be too difficult to go completely plant-based.

“To anybody that thinks being a vegetarian is tricky – it’s rubbish!” she says. “There are so many products you can buy – meat substitute products if that’s what you want. Vegetables, lentils, pulses – there are a million things that you can cook and use to substitute for meat.”

“The best thing you can do for animals is to just leave them off your plate,” she concluded.
