Written by Prince and originally released by The Family in 1985. Made famous by Sinead O’Connor in 1990. Performed by Sue Miller, Manuella Scotton, and Madi White.
Fun Fact: Sinead O’Connor’s stark, emotional video won three “Moonmen” at the 1990 MTV Video Music Awards: Video of the Year (she was the first female artist to be awarded it), Best Female Video, and Best Post-Modern Video.
