Aerosmith Postpone Farewell Tour Dates After Steven Tyler Suffers Vocal Cord Injury

Rock-titans Aerosmith have postponed a series of tour dates associated with their Farewell run after the group’s famed frontman, Steven Tyler, suffered a vocal cord injury. According to a post shared by the band announcing the change in events, Tyler has been ordered to refrain from singing before the band can return to the road.
The official statement read: “I’m heartbroken to say I have received strict doctor’s orders not to sing for the next thirty days. I sustained vocal cord damage during Saturday’s show that led to subsequent bleeding. We’ll need to postpone a few dates so that we can come back and give you the performance you deserve.”
Also mentioned in their post, Aerosmith shared the rescheduled concert dates affected by Tyler’s injury. According to the band, they intend to make up postponed appearances in 2024, beginning with a Jan. 29 concert at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. On Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, they’ll play at Chicago’s United Center, followed by an ensuing gig at Capitol One Arena in Washington, D.C.
The remaining rescheduled dates pick up on Feb. 21 at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena. Next, Aerosmith will drop down to the Southern region of the U.S. for a stand on Feb. 26 at PNC Arena in Raleigh, N.C. The final postponed concert will arrive on Feb. 29 and take the group of rockers to Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland.
Aerosmith concluded the news by informing fans: “All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates. Refunds will be available for those unable to attend. Fans with questions regarding refunds are asked to reach out to their point of purchase.”
