Evergreen, mounding fronds create a green, ferny carpet. Fronds turn orangey-pink to bronze in fall. Fronds layer atop one another, spreading easily but slowly—perfect for difficult sites in your shade garden and where a soft texture is desired. Grows happily in combination with hellebores, ferns, hostas, toad lilies, and variegated solomon’s seal.
Full-part shade. Height 6-12”. Spread 6-12”. Easy to grow in moist, shady areas. Zones 6-10.
