Cozy Days is a relaxing sandbox game featuring a peaceful house with a warm and cozy fireplace at its heart.
Throw chunky logs into the fireplace, light a few candles and enjoy the crunchy crackling of timber and the soothing dance of glowing tiny pixels as the midi based retro music plays in the background.
Cozy Days simply provides a calming hygge ambiance for relaxing, studying, reading, sleeping and meditating.
You can also organize the items in the house to create your personal space.
I wish you all cozy days! :)

Hello, PJ!
I've placed my game on STEAM. The game is about adventures in a primal fantasy world.
All art was drawn by me (sprites, backgrounds etc.).
I would be happy, if you take a look, guys.

On August 7 In Vitro Games will release the "Definitive Edition" update for their game, Defender of Ekron, which will bring various new unlockable features. Among these, the arcade game Invaders of Ekron will be released, featuring graphics reminescent of the 16 bit era.
Hello, PJ!
On May 17th a game for which I produced pixel art over nearly 2 years was released on Steam - "The friends of Ringo Ishikawa". I was mainly responsible for the static graphics, including locations/levels, item icons, UI, and Steam cards.
If I were to start over work on the project today I would draw certain game assets differently such as the trees and bushes for example. Anyway I'm glad that the game is finished and released and that people can now play it. Frankly speaking this is my first big game on Steam, and I want share it with PJ! I would appreciate any feedback you may have, especially in the area of the game's art.
Sincerely, Artem Belov / Wedmak2.

I’ve finally managed to sneak my way onto Steam Greenlight with my metroidvania Nightkeep. As a direct result of this, the game has received a rather big update.
Nightkeep is a 2D metroidvania-like platformer with RPG elements set in a fictional medieval fantasy world, accompanied by an original story. You play as Arietta, a huntress. She’s more of a lone wolf and even though hunters usually hunt in groups, Arietta has her own approach.

When I first joined pixeljoint (2014) I could barely draw lights or shades. I have to thank all great users from the WIP seciton who gave me advice over the years. Because of you I am able to draw things way better now.
With my current skill level, which is far away from perfect, I can still fulfill my dream of making a full custom game.
If you like my project, I’d really appreciate support of any sort. I hope this can at least motivate starting pixel artists, if nothing else! It is great to be part of a community such as PJ!

The Internet Arcade is a web-based library of arcade (coin-operated) video games from the 1970s through to the 1990s, emulated in JSMAME, part of the JSMESS software package. Containing hundreds of games ranging through many different genres and styles, the Arcade provides research, comparison, and entertainment in the realm of the Video Game Arcade. The game collection ranges from early "bronze-age" videogames, with black and white screens and simple sounds, through to large-scale games containing digitized voices, images and music. Most games are playable in some form, although some are useful more for verification of behavior or programming due to the intensity and requirements of their systems.

Pixel artists Tony Redmer and Glauber Kotaki joined forces to create the assets for Chasm by Discord Games. This project has unfortunately run out of funding and resorted to kickstarter to save it and let it see the light! Chasm is metroidvania that features procedurally generated dungeons. Chasm also features 100% pixel purity. Every pixel in the game has been hand placed aside from those used in particle effects. Help us out by giving us a vote on Steam Greenlight or Donating (or sharing) the Kickstarter!

Grand Mystic Quest of Discovery is a Flash-based puzzle platformer made by hulahulahest for the 19th Ludum Dare competition. You control a wizard in his quest to discover the secret of some ancient ruins. Learning spells gains you access to new areas, eventually allowing you to collect all six scroll pieces and find the exit. Due to the fact that it was made in 48 hours, the game contains no sound and has a somewhat disappointing ending, but the gameplay and pixel art graphics are solid. It takes about an hour to complete the game; your progress is saved automatically.
Rocky Memphis and the Temple of Ophuxoff is a downloadable platform game for Windows and Mac in which you guide the titular character through a large temple filled with monsters and treasure. The game presents you with the daunting task of collecting all 4000 pieces of treasure, which is done in a manner very similar to the gameplay in Jet Set Willy. Fortunately, a save function is available as well as an automatic mapper that keeps track of the rooms you've visited and completed, which makes things quite manageable and suitable for playing in short bursts. The level design and powerup placement appear to have been made with speedrunning in mind, so that should provide an extra challenge for those so inclined.

Biolab Disaster is a unique game. Why? you may ask. Well, what makes it special is that it was created entirely with HTML5 and Javascript, rather than the more conventional Flash. But, thankfully, it also happens to be a cool little platformer with some great pixel art graphics! To top it off, the creator, Dominic Szablewski, plans to release the game's engine and a level editor sometime in the future.

Hero Core is a superb 2D shooter by Daniel Remar (best known for making Iji). You control Flip Hero in his quest to destroy the machine warlord Cruiser Tetron once and for all. While it is possible to fight Tetron very early in the game, you can also choose to explore the game world (in a manner reminiscent of the Metroid games) to upgrade your weapons and defences. The game features simple but effective 1-bit graphics, a cool retro soundtrack and some well-designed game mechanics and bosses. Expect a lot of intense bullet dodging and button mashing (an autofire option is available, however).

Great read for anyone interested in game dev for Xbox Live and some swell pixels!
Remember Jetpack, the classic DOS platformer (www.adeptsoftware.com/jetpack/)? A sequel's being made in Flash after all these years, and instead of hiring an artist, Adam Pedersen's letting the players themselves contribute pixel art, tracker music, SFX and levels for the game in the form of a contest. The two top entrants will receive $50 and the next four $25. In addition, everyone whose work ends up being used gets a free copy of Jetpack 2 once it's finished, as well as a mention in the credits.
The deadline is March 13th. Now's a neat chance to get creative and repay the good memories!
A pixelated spoof based on, and inspired by, the new mega-failure: Final Fantasy XII.
This game is every bit as Final Fantasy down to linear gameplay, random deaths, and a cliche story.

Check out this Colecovision-style Flash game from PixelJam, the latest installment in Adult Swim's 8-bit Rejects collection. You move these blocky pixels around and make other pixels hit each other. It's the most fun you'll have all day. Or maybe not, since today is Friday. My high score is a gizzillion points, so don't bother trying to beat it or anything.

Canabalt is a fun little Flash game made by AdamAtomic using his flixel library. In the game, you control a running man as he makes his 'daring escape', presumably from the futuristic robots that can be seen destroying the city in the background. All you have to do is press the X or C key at the right times to jump over obstacles and to leap to the next rooftop, which gets pretty challenging after a while. The audio and visuals are quite good and do a great job at creating a sense of urgency. Give it a try.
