Jones Beach Amphitheater Named One Of The Coolest Outdoor Theaters

Everyone on Long Island knows that (weather permitting) Jones Beach is a great place to see a concert during the summer. And the Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater pulls in tons of big-name acts, too. But now, other people are starting to realize how great it is, too.

Paste Magazine recently released a list of its "5 Coolest Outdoor Concert Venues in America," and Jones Beach was there. Paste says the theater has a view that's "damn tough to beat," and the magazine praised the drinks and food you can get at the theater, and gave a brief history of its expansion through the years.

The Jones Beach Theater is on the list with iconic places like The Hollywood Bowl and The Red Rocks Amphitheater.

"This 15,000-seat Live Nation-operated waterfront theater located within Jones Beach State Park has street tacos, burgers and food trucks, not to mention an interesting cast of colorful characters you’re not likely to see strolling down Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue," the magazine wrote.
