Minnesota Jewish Theatre Company presents "My Mother's Lesbian Jewish Wiccan Wedding"

Claire is a 37-year old divorced mother from Nebraska who has moved to Canada for a university teaching position.  Her son, David, soon joins her, and as she discovers a new life as a single mom, lesbian, and Jewish woman, David’s journey takes him through his teen years into adulthood.  This dynamite musical, based on true events, looks at the realities of today’s world - equality, same sex marriage, and the changing American family – with “a kick-ass musical score that rocks the house.” (nytheatre.com)

My Mother’s Lesbian Jewish Wiccan Wedding is directed by Michael Kissin (director: Goats and Talley’s Folly at MJTC; appeared at MJTC as Larry Levin in Boychik;  long-time company member of Mixed Blood Theatre where he directed How to Improve Your Golf Game and A Jew on Ethiopia Street to name a few; other directing credits: Park Square Theatre, Theatre in the Round, Theatre L’Homme Dieu, and Minneapolis Community & Technical College; acting credits: Guthrie Theater, Mixed Blood Theatre, Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, amongst others) with music direction by Kevin Dutcher (music directing at MJTC: The Odd Potato and Chutzpah à go go, onstage with MJTC in Parade, and as Josef Mashkan in MJTC’s acclaimed production of Old Wicked Songs; other acting credits include Actors Theater of Minnesota, Illusion Theatre, Park Square Theatre, Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, Dudley Riggs Theatre).

My Mother’s Lesbian Jewish Wiccan Wedding will feature Laura B. Adams (Illusion Theatre, Park Square Theatre, Children’s Theatre Company), Bonni Allen (Florida Stage, Actors Theater of Minnesota, and most recently Avenue Q at Mixed Blood Theatre),  David Coral (The Magic Dreidels, My Name is Asher Lev, The Triangle Factory Fire Project, Twilight of the Golds, The Chosen), Jane Froiland (most recently in IVEY Award-winning production Doubt), Tinia Moulder (Guthrie Theater, History Theatre, Mixed Blood Theatre, Ordway Center, and Chanhassen Dinner Theatres including Christine in Phantom of the Opera, Maria in The Sound of Music, and Marian in The Music Man), newcomer to the Twin Cities stage Bryan Porter, and Matt Rein (The Triangle Factory Fire Project at MJTC, Theater Latté Da, Children’s Theatre Company including Romeo in Romeo and Juliet).
