Olivia Newton-John’s final words revealed by daughter Chloe Lattanzi

Olivia Newton-John’s daughter, Chloe Lattanzi, shared her last moments with her late mother for the first time.

Lattanzi, 37, revealed in a “Today” show interview Friday that the “Grease” star’s final words to her were, “‘My sunshine.'”

“Right before she lost her ability to speak, she was making jokes,” she recalled.

Since Newton-John lost her battle with breast cancer in August 2022 at age 73, the late actress’ fans have offered a “life raft” of support to her surviving daughter.

“It has felt like a big hug from the universe,” Lattanzi gushed. “I’m very grateful for all of the people who reached out to us and extended their heart and their connection.

“I love my mom more than anything,” she continued. “She’s my mama, you know? She’s not Olivia Newton-John to me, but I’m so glad that she was Olivia Newton-John for so many people.”

While the conversation with Hoda Kotb marked Lattanzi’s first TV interview about Newton-John’s death, she has honored the “Physical” singer via Instagram on multiple occasions.

In November 2022, Lattanzi told her followers about feeling “guided” by her late parent.

“You walk with me now. Every step I take. Every move I make,” she captioned a throwback video of the Grammy winner performing. “I love you soulmate.”

Newton-John gave birth to Lattanzi in 1986, her first and only child with then-husband Matt Lattanzi. She went on to wed John Easterling in 2008.

The businessman, 70, joined his stepdaughter in Friday’s interview, saying he misses his “extraordinary” wife “terribly.”

Easterling went on to share “empowering” advice he recently received about his “obligation to live life” for them both in the wake of her death.

The widower still speaks to his late wife “late at night [and] early in the morning,” explaining, “I’ll just be walking around the house, or throwing the ball for the dogs and just speak to her.”

As for Newton-John’s ex, Matt admitted via Facebook last year that he felt “overwhelmed” following her death.

“Nothing will replace the icon we lost, yet her legacy is alive and well in our hearts and memories,” the actor, 64, wrote in a joint statement with his current wife, Michelle Lattanzi.

“Please honor your sadness, and then celebrate the joy that Olivia’s heart and lifetime achievements endowed in our world.”
