Nicole Scherzinger slammed over 'insensitive' swimsuit snaps
"Show us you're doing something instead of posting pictures in bikini."
Nicole Scherzinger has been slammed on Instagram after sharing a series of snaps of herself in a swimsuit, with fans calling the snaps "insensitive".
The 45-year-old shared the photos of herself in a white cut-out one-piece swimsuit, captioning the snaps, "Swipe to see the real me in the last two slides. Real goof girl sh*t."
While a post like this would usually garner positive fan interaction, many slammed the former Pussycat Dolls singer, who is from Hawaii, where deadly wildfires are currently raging.
The death toll in Maui has reached 99 and is expected to rise over the next ten days, according to Hawaii governor Josh Green, who told CBS News.

Nicole has since deleted comments on the image, likely due to the negative response.
"Maui on fire but you out here half naked in your glamorous life … OK," one fan wrote, according to The Sun.
"Time to stop and support Hawaii, show us you're doing something instead of posting pictures in bikini," another added.
"Yes we get it," a third said. "You love having pictures taken in suggestive poses. Timing a bit off though, with the Armageddon like scenes in your homeland."
The comments continued on her other posts, with one user writing, "Little less vacationing photos while this goes on would be respectful. I love ya, but I'm surprised, especially your roots in Hawaii."
"How much did you donate Nicole? You could do the whole million by yourself easily," another said.
"Just delete the swimsuit post Nicole," a third wrote.

Nicole's previous post had been a photo of the fires, with the words "Pray for Maui" written across the image, with the singer asking her fans to donate to the relief efforts.
Mr Green revealed that 86 per cent of the structures that were destroyed by the fires were residential, with officials revealing at least 2,200 structures had burnt down.
Maui County revealed on Monday that the Lahaina blaze was 85 per cent contained.
At this stage, only three of the 99 bodies that have been found have been identified, as remains have been severely damaged by the fires.
