Dad makes baby beer bong to help daughter drink more formula

This dad is doing his best to help his baby gain the freshman 15.

After doctors told Seattle dad Rudy Willingham that his 8-month-old daughter should take in more calories ahead of her next hospital weigh-in, he came up with a creative solution: Since beer bongs help undergrads gain weight, he figured, maybe they’d work for his baby, too.

“Gained a ton of weight this way in college, so I figured it could do the same for her,” Willingham, 36, captioned a now viral TikTok video of him feeding little Lily her formula through a beer bong.

Willingham didn’t let his daughter drink from just any bong — he personally put hers together, attaching a bottle nipple to the end of the smallest beer bong he could find on Amazon.

“I was pretty lucky because it was a perfect fit with the end of the bong, almost like they were always meant to be together!” he told Jam Press of his DIY creation.

Lily’s bong is strictly reserved for formula, he added. “Gotta keep things sanitary for my little gal.”

He’s so pleased with the outcome, though, that he’s considering constructing another bong — this time for himself.

“I’m also thinking of getting a water bong for myself so I can stay properly hydrated throughout the day,” he said. Friends have also been asking if he could make beer bongs for drinks besides beer for them, too.

Viewers are impressed and amused by the party paraphernalia’s infant-friendly application.

“So much daddy-love in this! How awesome that you have each other,” commented one viewer.

“Parenting done so damn right,” wrote another.

Willingham’s wife approves, too, and finds Lily’s new bong “hilarious.”

“As parents, I think it’s important to keep a sense of humor while raising a baby,” said Willingham. “Otherwise things just feel too stressful, and babies can feel that stress.”
