Even when it’s bad, it still looks good – Blacks Beach

How can you blame any one for wanting to have a swim in the beautiful coral sea here in Mackay?

Even on a miserable rainy looking day the waters at Blacks beach are inviting (see above) … when two swimmers went for a dip at 4:35 pm on April 7  at Blacks beach their day turned bad when they realised they had been targeted by thieves while they frolicked.

While the swimmer’s possessions were unattended metres away on the beach – almost $1500 worth of possessions were stolen.

Our message is a simple one – please keep your valuable possessions under lock and key in your car (out of sight of course) – any thing left unattended on a beach many metres away from you is fair game to some.  Keep the possessions you leave on the beach in your line of sight.
