Star Wars: Battlefront Overview
Star Wars: Battlefront is a large-scale arena shooter set in the Star Wars universe, where players fight for domination of the galaxy. At the start of each match choose between the Rebel Alliance or Imperial Army, and battle on 12 iconic multiplayer maps such as Endor and Hoth. Play in one of several multiplayer modes, from classic team deathmatch to a brawl between X-Wing and Tie Fighters in Fighter Squadron. Or fight for control of five objective points scattered across the map in Supremacy. Fit yourself for battle by customizing your character, gear, and abilities. Join up with a friend and complete cooperative missions. And play as iconic characterters from the Star Wars universe, from Boba Fett to Darth Vader.
Star Wars: Battlefront Key Features:
- Play as Iconic Characters - play as characters from the Star Wars films such as Darth Vader, Boba Fett, or Luke Skywalker.
- Multiple Camera Angles - fight in either a third or first person camera angle, utilizing each depending on the situation.
- Vehicles - jump in a Tie fighter and wreak havoc on ground forces or sit in the hulking AT-AT and call down aerial strikes on unsuspecting Rebels.
- Multiple Gameplay Modes - secure objectives in Supremacy or pilot a Rebel X-Wing in the Fighter Squadron game mode, and many more.
- Large Battles - play in up to 40 player matches across 12 multiplayer maps.

Development History / Background:
Star Wars: Battlefront is developed by Swedish development studio EA Digitial Illusions Creative Entertainment (EA DICE or DICE). It was announced at E3 2013 and in October 2014 the development team announced that the game would release during the 2015 holiday season. A DLC was released soon after the game fully released on Novemeber 17, 2015, titled Battle of Jakku. It features two maps set on the planet Jakku, and ties into the film Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
