Ashley Alexandra Dupré, the former escort whose rendezvous with former Gov. Eliot Spitzer led to his resignation, has a new career: writing a weekly advice column dealing with sex and relationships for The New York Post.

Ms. Dupré gained fame after public revelations of her rendezvous with Mr. Spitzer at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington on Feb. 13, 2008, led to his sudden resignation as governor of New York.

But now, Ms. Dupré has settled into a new role, providing fodder for tabloids once again — this time on their payroll.

The newspaper introduced Ms. Dupré as someone who has made mistakes and who is sharing what she has learned through the column, “Ask Ashley.”

On Sunday, the newspaper’s Web site had some of Ms. Dupré’s answers to readers. One woman asked what she should tell a boyfriend who asked her how many men she had slept with.

“It’s really none of his business (and vice versa),” Ms. Dupré wrote. “It’s like you asking him how many lap dances he’s gotten in his life.”

Mr. Spitzer, meanwhile, has also been gradually taking steps back into public life. He writes a column for Slate, the online magazine, and he has been teaching a political science course at City College of New York.

In November, he spoke at Harvard University about what made him famous: policing Wall Street. That address was arranged by a university ethics center as part of a public series examining ethical issues in public life.
