Our wondrous earth is full of hol(e)y mysteries -- chief of which is this dog's butt hole.

For centuries, humans have busy looking for images of eternal truth in their everyday lives. But over on Reddit's r/funny, users found something even more awe-inspiring; and they found it in a pattern on a dog's anus. This week, after years of similar comparisons, we now have the IKEA monkey in a dog's butt.

The monkey in question is Darwin, a monkey who was spotted wandering through an Ontario IKEA with a coat on four years ago. Darwin had just escaped his owner's home, where he was being kept illegally, when he was discovered wandering IKEA, and immediately became an internet meme.

He has lived in our hearts from that day on.

Since being removed from his owner's house and moved to a Primate Sancutary in Ontario, Darwin has lived a largely private life, free from the blinding lights of Hollywood. But since the Reddit post, Darwin has hopped back into the spotlight.

Just look at the resemblance:

Internet commentators have also been gleefully reminiscing about the time Jesus was found in a dog's butt.
