Chippendale performer Billy Jeffrey, of Lewiston, Idaho, is the complete package of brains and brawn. In addition to touring the world and being an entertainment icon, Jeffrey owns his own business in his hometown.
His grandmother and mother are from Nashville, Tenn., and Jeffrey said that town’s musical influence made an impression on him at a young age.

“My grandma was always an Elvis fan. So was my mom, and both had gotten to see him perform. My grandma would naturally be playing Elvis records when I was at her house. She started showing me Elvis dance moves. I picked ’em up pretty fast and got my little Elvis routine down after a month or so,” he said.
At the golf course or a women’s function, Jeffrey said, he would put on a little Elvis concert for everyone.
“I very vividly remember those moments of performing at a very young age, how much fun I was having, and of course the attention I was getting. It kind of stuck with me. I enjoyed dancing,” he said.
Jeffrey worked at a health food store in Lewiston for a couple of years, then bought a General Nutrition Center store in Boise.
At 20, Jeffrey said, he was the youngest owner of a GNC store in the company’s 63-year history.
Being a Chippendale was never in his plans till he saw one of the dancers’ shows in Las Vegas. “About the first three minutes, I figured out how wrong I was. This was a Broadway-meets-Vegas style production. A class act. I was one of five guys hired out of 500 that day.”
Jeffrey broke into entertainment after his sister sent his picture and a letter to Cosmopolitan magazine, which named him “Idaho’s Sexiest Bachelor.” He since has appeared on Entertainment Tonight, The Insider, Dr. Phil, MTV, Jenny Jones, The View, The Ellen Degeneres Show and Maury Povich.
“I don’t call this a job. It’s an amazing experience. It’s been so much fun, and one of the reasons is that I’ve been able to experience it with everybody else.”
