Trappers has gone so far downhill. I left a review a year ago already with how disappointed I was and we finally decided to give it another chance. Bad idea. I used to love their rolls! My favorite sushi by far. Food quality is terrible now. Even worse than before. Messy and thrown together and overall taste is just awful. To put it lightly. Find a new sushi place to go.

Okay...we're regulars and rave about the sushi to EVERYONE! But just recently, we took advantage of Happy Hour $8 specially selected rolls, and had the best freshly prepared sushi ever...Mountain Roll, Rainier Roll and Bonney Lk Roll!
Portions are always generous and presentation is great!
But it was our waitress, Sara, that made our visit even more enjoyable!! Even though she was fairly new, she had the menu down and shared ideas of different options. Super friendly and genuine attitude! Invaluable employee!!

$14.50 for a roll of rice with some sauce and onions drizzled on it? Come on now. This is supposed to be the Puyallup roll with salmon, cream cheese, and avocado. There's barely any salmon at all and a tiny bit of cream cheese, definitely no avocado. This is unacceptable and super disappointing because we love it here.

      What I ordered
The Puyallup roll I ordered, clearly there's no avocado, BARELY any salmon (if any at all), and a tiny bit of cream cheese.

I've honestly never been to a restaurant with such poor customer service. I ordered appetizers, miso soup & gyoza. Took about 15-20 minutes for the gyoza to come but I had to ask an additional two times for the soup and after 40 minutes she finally brought it out. She never apologized or anything and the soup wasn't even good. Once our sushi was brought out she just set it on the table and left. I had to grab soy sauce from another table. The sushi was okay, nothing amazing. You could go to literally any other sushi place and get the same quality sushi but probably cheaper and better service.

I understand Covid has changed a lot and to go orders like door dash and Uber eats has been a lot of peoples go to but it's caused long wait times for trappers. The sushi chefs for AYCE are not attentive anymore you can go 30+ minutes between orders to get their attention and to get a new plate due to surplus of orders. It seems like your an inconvenient now to the chiefs which isn't the vibe that it used to be. I loved trappers and still do but refuse to go during certain times now because I know the service won't be what it used to be.

We were told 5 minutes and waited 45 minutes, asked about a table ant they didn't even know we were there waiting right in front of them. We walked out without getting a table.

Really disappointed in our trip to Trappers at this location. We go to trappers often (probably 2x per month) but never to this location. The service was terrible, our sushi chef was rude and I'm pretty sure our server didn't know we existed. It would be one thing if they were busy, but they weren't. Our sushi chef and the chef at the other station spent the whole time loudly complaining that they had customers and they had rolls to make. If you want Trappers, it's worth the drive to a different location.

My family is a regular at the Lacey location, and this was our first time trying our favorite sushi at a different location. We were so disappointed. Not only we're the wrong rolls brought to us, they were not the quality we are use to. I don't consider myself picky at all, and the sushi rolls we were given were not appetizing. Very disappointed with our experience.

My sales team & I had the opportunity to spend the day at NW Trek as a work outing. Afterwards, some of us wanted to grab something to eat so we decided to go to Trapper's Sushi in Parkland on the way back home. I tried their Sounders & Volcano roll, in which the Sounders consisted of spicy crab, cream cheese, cucumber, salmon, avocado, warrior sauce, teriyaki, & green onion. While the Volcano consisted of spicy tuna, cream cheese, jalapeño, cucumber fried in tempura, avocado, sweet chili sauce, warrior sauce, teriyaki, & green onion.

Overall, I was impressed w/ how the rolls turned out. The ingredients looked & tasted fresh, & the overall presentation was superb & well-crafted. The customer service was great as well!

Our service was fantastic! I have food allergies and when my plate came it had onions on it. However our server Jordan (lovely waitress with an amazing and friendly attitude) promptly fixed my order and was quick to deliver my food and ibwas able to eat my dinner with my husband.

20 out of 10 stars service and I look forward to going back!
