What times are the slowest? I want to take my friends there, but don't want to go there when we can't find seats.
A:
Hello! It's hard to predict what times are quietest here but generally speaking if you arrive during the first hour or two of service on a weekday (Monday - Thursday we open at 4pm and Friday we open at 12 noon) you should be fine. We are open… more

Are the Pierogies vegan? Excited to come here. I've heard good things about you from the Vegan deli in Reading terminal.

Been to Tattooed Mom a number of times, but mostly upstairs. The vibe up there is great with stickers on everything and every wall. We asked if that was done intentionally, but were told that it was a more organic and the walls used to be beige.
For this last visit we ate downstairs. The place is decorated nicely with some really cool eclectic pieces on the walls. Our server was great throughout our dinner and helped out with my wife's allergy.
Drinks: Most of us went with a beer and a white claw. The draft selection is small but had a nice variety on tap. I chose the PBR since it was on the Wednesday special. They also have cocktails and a variety of bottled options.
Food: The main reason for coming was that I told my grandson and his girlfriend that they have really good vegan food. We came on a Wednesday to get their smash burger special. Before getting our smash burgers we got the vegan bbq wings. They really really good and crunchy with a nice heat. 2 of our party got the vegan smash burgers and 2 got the classic. Everyone really enjoyed their burgers. Highly recommend them.
Overall a great time and we enjoyed playing with the plastic toys they leave on the table for customers to enjoy.Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sarah L.Romansville, PA12871May 2, 2024
Overall, we enjoyed the food. It was mainly the cheese fries. I haven't had cheese whiz on fries since forever so that was a nice surprise. I wasn't a huge fan of the vegan cheesesteak mostly because I've had real beef before and impossible meat seems to be the only product to pull that off. My husband had the smash burger which he said was better than good. Our waitress was nice and the vibe is pretty chill even with the bar and random people just walking in.

Fantastic all around: decor, drinks, food, bartenders, staff, vibes. My favorite kind of spot that totally owns its originality and makes anyone feel welcomed and at-home.
I tried the Nashville hot chicken sandwich, wings, and parmesan pepper tots. The tots are addicting comfort food that I absolutely recommend not skipping. I appreciate that they have great vegan options and imagine the whole menu translates really well to takeout, if that's the kind of vibe you're feeling instead. The sandwich was super filling and not overly spicy, if you're a spice hesitant person.
I grabbed a cider on tap and also tried the Cosmo Cloud cocktail, served with cotton candy and an absolute treat. I don't think I could do more than one (especially since this drink comes with a shaker full of cocktail remains...so it almost drinks like two cocktails) but I highly recommend giving it a go if you're in a sweet tooth kind of mood.
Cannot wait until my next visit to South Street and Tmoms! Follow along on their social for all the fun and collabs they cook up all year long.Helpful 10Thanks 3Love this 9Oh no 0 - Dec 4, 2023
Yay vegan options! This is a cool place to check out on South street with a group of friends. Upstairs there's space to play games, perfect for larger groups. I got the vegan Nashville hot chicken sandwich which wasn't spicy (I wish it was). I would probably order something different next time, but the atmosphere makes this place worth visiting!

I was visiting Philly and really wanted to eat a Philly cheesesteak while in Philly! But because of dietary restrictions needed something vegan and this place came through! The vegan Philly cheesesteak is absolutely delicious!! According to my friend who is not vegan and tried some, it taste basically like the same thing.
The inside is really cool. There's graffitied walls and bumper cars placed around. They have a bunch of other vegan options as well and everything was reasonably priced. I will def be back the next time I'm in Philly.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Thomas G.Chicago, IL12196539689Jul 15, 2023
Tattooed Mom became an option for me because Monster Vegan was not open. Yes, I said it! Sorry not sorry, hehe. With a name that makes me visualize a raunchy bar, Tattooed Mom was also one of the only restaurants with a vegan Philly cheesesteak offering delivery via Grubhub. And via yelp, it was ranked third during my search for vegan philly cheesesteak within a radius of me in South Philadelphia West.
I ordered the vegan philly which consisted of vegan steak, and smoked gouda cheese with fried onions. Along with my vegan philly cheesesteak, I ordered waffle fries, and a 12 oz. can of doctor brown's black cherry which was very hard to pass up being that I absolutely love black cherry soda.
My food arrived minutes prior to the estimated delivery time shared, so I definitely had no complaints. And thanks to the delivery driver who literally met me at the elevator after I came down to get my order.
The vegan philly cheesesteak did not taste bad! Luckily, I had some sweet barbecue sauce with me which gave it a flavorful taste that made my tastebuds go wild! And I loved that the waffle fries were not overly seasoned nor over or undercooked.
Being that I had a good experience, I would surely order from Tattooed Mom again as my alternative to Monster Vegan when visiting Philadelphia.

Was there for a comedy show which was hilarious and absurd but outside of that enjoyed the fun atmosphere.
Tried the pierogies, smash burger, and pop rocket cocktail.
Would try other food items but burger was standard. Pop rocket was great, super fun, would get again.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Brittany L.Austin, TX172108105Jan 10, 2024
Great local dive bar in a fun neighborhood in Philly! While visiting, I stopped by and was greeted immediately and was able to sit at the bar. they have happy hour and offer vegan food from the kitchen. they have pool tables as well as an upstairs space for events and music! the bartender working was kind and attentive. he provided me with other great local recommendations too. this place is located in a great neighborhood with lots of shops right outside (record store/vintage shop etc.) highly recommend this dive bar for a more relax local vibe.

My partner and I stopped by while walking around the area and loved the overall vibe here. We had just eaten so we didn't order food, but the food at the other tables looked good.
In terms of drinks, I got the pop rocket and was a huge fan! I assumed the pop rocks would be on the rim or something, but they were in a shot glass inside the drink. Every time I took a sip, I got that pop rock crackle. Genius! Will definitely be trying to replicate on my own. The cocktail itself was also pretty sweet, which only felt right with the pop rocks.
My partner got the pickletini which came in a small Mason jar with pickles. Also good.
It seems all the cocktails have a creative twist on them, and there were quite a few others that intrigued me as we were browsing the menu. Would definitely return to try others!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
