Great spot for tacos and burritos! This is a chain, so they have several locations throughout the city. I came to this one with friends on a Saturday evening, and they were quite busy. You order at the counter, and then they'll give you a number to take to your table. It took 25+ minutes to get our food after we ordered.
I got two tacos and one babyBurrito. I've never seen the baby burrito concept, so that was neat (it's just a miniature burrito). I got a mix of beef and pork and really enjoyed the meat. They also had grilled pineapple on the tacos, which was a nice touch. Definitely a sweet kick to the tacos. In addition, it has salsa (not spicy) and guacamole. The prices seem super reasonable ($2.75 for tacos, $4.50 for babyBurritos), but the sizes are really small, so you probably need to order 5 items to feel full.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Angela H.Seattle, WA35223Oct 11, 2023
The quality control is so inconsistent!! Sometimes, the torta is great. Like the one my boyfriend had less than a week ago. The two we got today were horrible! Hardly any meat and just burnt bread, honestly! The toppings weren't evenly distributed and lacking across the board.
The pictures speak for themselves! It was bread. So disappointing.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 1, 2022
This is my go-to place when I'm craving tacos! The service is fast and the tacos are consistently good. I always get the signature Tacos Chukis, which has pork and has a piece of grilled pineapple. The pineapple is juicy, sweet, and a great topping. The tacos are always very saucy and flavorful.
The baby burrito was alright, but just alright and I probably wouldn't order that again.
This place is definitely a popular spot for many, and I definitely recommend ordering online to avoid any wait!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 99412242Dec 27, 2022
I used to frequent the Tacos Chukis in Capitol Hill when I lived there, but I decided to check out this location since it's closer to where I'm at now.
Although it's been several years since I've been to the Cap Hill location, I had high expectations as I consistently had delicious experiences there. At SLU, I ordered my usual pork tacos. Unfortunately, they were just so-so. The meat was dry, and it was really lacking in flavor, which is such a stark contrast to what I remember. If this had been my first Chukis experience, I wouldn't return, but I'm hoping that this is just an anomaly. If I'm in the neighborhood, I'd give it another shot.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jieming L.Bellevue, WA7250326Aug 19, 2023
From SLU office, walk 10min to this taco street food shop. Self order on the pads, short wait on the food, and the food was just very good. There are plenty of seats for tables and bar sides.
2 quesadillas are good for a meal.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sabrina C.Seattle, WA39392Mar 2, 2023
Probably more like a 3.5
Honestly the tacos/mexican food in Seattle just don't hit as hard as California and I just need to accept that fact. The two "best" taco places I've heard about in the central Seattle area were Tacos Chukis and Carmelo's Tacos and I think I prefer the latter (though neither has the best taco I've had by any means). Overall it was ok but not something I'd want to regularly come back for.
I wanted to try all the different things they had so I ordered the Taco Chukis, Mulita Asada, and Taco Pollo, which came out to $10.42 before tip. All of the meats, esp the chicken, were a bit dry and not super flavorful on their own. The salsa and guac were pretty tasty though so they made up for it but they lowkey ended up all tasting kind of the same since the meats didn't have distinct flavors on their own. I'm a big al pastor fan so I liked the pineapple on the taco chukis but it would've been better if it was chopped up instead of just putting a big chunk on it. It supposedly had cheese but there was barely any on it. My favorite thing was probably the asada mulita and least fave was the chicken taco.
Size wise they weren't too bad but I still get a little off put by the prices as someone who's had her fair share of $1 tacos in california. I guess the price to size ratio is pretty standard for what I've seen here in Seattle though. I think you would need to order 4-5 tacos to feel full.
Service was pretty fast. The cashier was on break so I had to order online but it was ready within 4 minutes of ordering.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Gabriel S.Seattle, WA129740Jul 29, 2023
Not open on time, here to pick up a 11AM pickup but they left the door locked. I'm on a 15 minute break so the extra wait for no apparent reason isn't nice.

So Flippin Good!
This is the best taco I have had in Seattle, and it is not close. Not only is the food great, but it is also a great price. If I think tacos, this is the first place that comes to mind. Do yourself a favor and go check it out.
I got the taco adobada, mulita asada, and the asada quessadilla. All three were phenomenal, and the abodaba taco comes with grilled pineapple, so good. I recommend the tacos and the quesadillas, but you cant go wrong.
You walk in, order at the register, and they bring out your food. As you see in my photo, the food is best enjoyed with your beer of choice!
Dont look any further, go get some Tacos Chukis tonight!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 1, 2022
Close but no cigar...3.5 stars overall for my experience. The meat was seasoned well...my favorite was to mulita adobada. Appreciated the slight crispiness of the tortilla and the mix of cheese, cilantro, guac, and meat were well balanced.
So why was this place not a 4 or 5 star experience?...The horchata was good but tasted a bit watered down. Another issue I had was that some of the meat was not heated thoroughly and was coldish warm. The food is made to order, but the meat is already precooked in metal food bins and reheated on the griddle.
If you're looking for a taco fix in the Seattle area, this place will definitely deliver, but it is not on the same level as Guisados in LA.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
