This place definitely deserves it's 5 star status! First there isn't a lot to do in this area, so that automatically makes it top tier. :)
But they don't rest on that. They actually provide a great experience from start to finish. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They lady at the front spoke to my children and made sure they were prepared for their afternoon, not just to me. The facility was clean, and the animals looked well taken care of. There was such a wide variety of animals for a small town farm and you could feed every one of them! Admission was $15 with sting ray food, &12 without. Under $5 is free, but if you want them to have their own food, it's an additional $6. The price was very reasonable.
You do not have a time limit. So you can stay all day if you'd like. But there isn't a lot of shade and it gets HOT. So we were there for about an hour. Keep in mind that the green pellets are for animals throughout. We used a lot up in the beginning so we didn't have as much for the last animals. (They give you enough food. We just didn't ration it well.)
I think my favorite was feeding the sting rays though that was also a really weird feeling. The lorikeets were pretty cool too. But they could get a little assertive and aggressive. I would prepare little ones because they can fight over the nectar, one did on my daughters arm! But she was ok, just startled.
All in all we had a wonderful time. I'd love to go back next time we're in town.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 11, 2023
Love this place, the best family value out there. Where else can you make out with a goat, lose a finger to the ostriches and hang out with 100 year old tortoises. They provide the food for all the animals and they know how to do it right. You also have the opportunity to pet and love cow nose rays. What! Are we not in the middle of the desert. Nonetheless, give it a try you won't be disappointed. They have some fun unique item in the gift shop and the staff are super friendly.

Always something new and always so much fun. Feeding the Ostrich still my favorite thing but also love the trucks, geese, goats, donkeys and deer. And the prairie dogs are so cute. Not a huge fan of the larakeets but still go in every year. Highly recommend this for a day trip for all ages. Can't wait to visit at Christmas again this year!

So glad that this farm is still open! I went about 15 years ago and loved every minute of it! This time was no exception. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable and made me feel at home. And for $12 that comes with food for the animals a low cost and fun time--I am so in!
I really liked that there was no order to visiting the animals, you could take your time and really walk around. They have deer, lorikeets, ostriches, tortises, rabbits, goats, and others! I loved loving on the deer, rabbits, and lorikeets. They are both so beautiful! I was a little wary of the ostriches and stingrays, but the stingrays were surprisingly cool and I got to pet a few of them. I was told that their stingers are removed, so there is no fear in petting them. I would not dare put my hand in front of an ostriches mouth, so I am so glad they have spots where you can drop the food. I definitely recommend coming here anytime you are in the area!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Business owner information

This place was tons of fun! Both for adults and children.
We stopped on our way home from Tucson and it was well worth the $12 admission fee.
Super friendly ladies at the front greeted us and explained the difference in price options.
They gave us each a huge container of food for the birds, goats, bunnies, turtles and ostrich.
You can feed every last animal in the farm in the most creative and fun ways!
The staff were so friendly and happy to answer questions.
The animals are well taken care of and we had a great time!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0Business owner information

This place can be described in 1 word. Fun.
We stumbled on this place while driving to the Kaverns. We went past and decided to turn around and check it out
It is a farm in the middle of a desert. They start you off work with a large cup of pellets for most animals. You can pay a little more to feed the sting rays. Totally worth it in my opinion. They have donkeys, ostriches, ducks, goats, bunnies, tortoises, and mini horses. The best part is when you visit the parakeets. You stand there with sealed nectar and the parakeets fly to you and take the lid off.
Amazing place. Be prepared with water as there isn't a lot of shade and it gets very hotHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 1, 2023
Saw this place on the side of the road while driving from Phoenix to Tucson and decided to stop by! So many animals to feed with easy instructions on how to feed them. It cost $15 for admission + the food to feed all animals including the stingrays! There was one other price option that was cheaper that included everything minus stingray food. But the stingrays were pretty fun to feed so I'd recommend spending the couple extra dollars. You can walk right up and buy your tickets at the entrance. They stop selling tickets 30 min before closing. Currently they close at 2pm. Their employee Rae was super sweet and friendly.

A total must!! We stopped on our way to PHX to visit our son. So much fun for the entire family! Welcoming, clean, shaded sitting area, and gift shop! Welcomed by staff, process explained throughly on how to visit the ranch; station to station setup. We had so much fun interacting with all of the animals!! Beware of the ostriches, they stole the cup out of our hands, took the treats and threw back at us!! Lol!!!
The stingray swimming pool area is amazing, clean and so interactive! You CAN reach in and touch the rays! The feeding of the stingrays was absolute a family favorite.
Highly recommend!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Tad H.Windsor, CO5527330Oct 30, 2023Updated review
Still love this place. Went 5 years or so ago and it is so much fun feeding the animals. I like the birds best-- they take the lids off their nectar by themselves! Check them out if you are in the area. The shooting gallery is fun too-- but I love shooting galleries. :)
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Sep 30, 2018Previous reviewWent with my mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and husband in September... yep.. it was toasty. Go earlier. The people working there seemed to really enjoy it. The owners were there and were really cool. The animals seemed happy and were docile in taking the food... even the ostrich's. There are little feeding "shoots" if you need that, but these ostrich's were happy, gentle critters. Definitely check them out!!!
