I'm giving this hotel a 4 star review as they really bent over backwards in the hospitality department during the Tough Mudder weekend.
Checkin: we called ahead to advise that we may need an early check in.
Not a problem . We got to check in at noon (thank you ! ) which helped us immensely with the extension of our plans and stay . No one likes to rush a shower ! The front desk attendant helped us map some great hikes and made some solid suggestions. Super pleasant .
The room : The negatives were the bed was not high quality nor were the bedding and the bathroom is literally the most awkward thing in life ! We both prefer to have a bath but it wasn't to be . Shower only . That said, spa music was ok upon check in, clean, nice new robes, large balcony, lots of channels for later that night and a well appointed little kitchen .
AC was cranked on check in which my fiancé loves !
Amenities: this is the best part . The mountainside lodge is a sister property so with our wristbands we got to use their pool, hot tub and fitness area . For what we were in town for and the 25 degree weather it was ideal. Tons of chairs , not crowded,
Towels provided and good hours of use,
Checkout; again...thank you !! Late check out was available and they stored our bags so we could enjoy the pool until 1:30. Very accommodating !
Thank you for your Hospitality!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 4, 2013
First time here stayed overnight, we booked online because of their low season special rate & I google the address... thought it would be a no brainer to find. Not so, it took us more than half an hour going thru 3 different hotels with the help of other hotel's employee and my iPhone's GPS to locate the hotel!? My comment: please get a more UNIQUE name other than Executive xxx or xxxx Inn or xxxxx at the Village... it would be a big help for the first time customers! Parking is underground with secured elevator, $20 per night.
Other than the name thing & no free wifi & could be noisy from the street outside at times, everything is cool!
3 & half star my rating.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Amy C.Seattle, United States05433Mar 17, 2017
This hotel was OK. It was a value, although a Groupon, for the Village Stroll. The room was small and oddly shaped. A heavy person would not have fit in the bathroom as the door didn't even open fully - it hit the toilet. This certainly isn't ADA complaint.
Another issue was that during the night, something made a meal of a flip flop. While I never saw a rodent, what else would do this?
I won't stay here again and can't recommend it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Darren L.Calgary, AB307May 12, 2019
Booked through Expedia a three night stay. The amenities are pretty good for the price but the configuration of the bathroom mystifies me. The door is very hard to squeeze through.
The problem came when we returned from our day of exploring Whistler to find the door to our suite ajar. We'd been away for six hours and thought we might have been broken into. As best as we can figure, the cleaning lady didn't pull the door shut when she made up our room. I made a point of going to discuss it at the front desk and was shocked by how little anyone at the front desk actually cared. Very disappointing and I'd recommend others look elsewhere for accommodations in Whistler. Asked to speak to the manager but 30 hours later and nobody has contacted us
Gave it two stars because the cleaning staff did my dishes even though it wasn't her job. At least one person who works here actually caresHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Alex L.Livermore, United States716836Jul 21, 2016
This hotel is pretty nice and in a good location.
Pros: comfy bed, nice balcony, great location
Cons: not totally clean. There was what looked like mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. Also we were charged parking fees due to an event we were not informed of ahead of time.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 24, 2020
I've got to say, kind of a weird hotel. We did get everything we needed and we had a wonderful ski trip. I do have a couple of notes. There are no safes in the rooms which is a tad abnormal but we didn't have any issues (so no harm, no foul). Noise is a reoccurring complaint on here. Our room, facing the pool, did not have any noise issues (but it isn't all that private--people at the pool can see in). My brother, staying in a different room, had huge issues with the noise. The biggest hassle was the stairs/elevator situation. They have one elevator that is extremely slow. The only way to get out of the building, and avoiding stairs (if you're in ski boots) is through the garage...but not the same level of the garage as the locker room for the ski equipment. The point being that you spend A LOT of time waiting for this elevator. The slope isn't right there but its an easy enough walk (even with your gear). We loved having the fireplace in our room. They have assigned parking spots in a garage which is nice because of the limited parking in that roundabout area. It kind of felt like they threw the building up in the only remaining lot and tried to fit everything in like a puzzle (just oddly shaped rooms/hotel in general).

Stayed here wit the family 2 adults and 2 kids (ages 4 and 6) and it was better staying in the loft suite seeing that it had 2 beds with an upstairs loft. Checking in is a bit strange as the Executive Inn side is on the left of the lobby and the Mountainside Lodge is on the right. Executive Inn has a very small check in desk that resembles a dining room table with a computer.
Staff was friendly and helpful when checking in so we had no complaints. Underground parking is $25 for overnight and you can park there until 1:00 pm after you check out.
Loft room is spacious with a kitchenette and all of the essential kitchen items so that's a bonus with an oven/stove, coffee machine, microwave, and so on. If cosmetics aren't a concern for you this room should be good for you as the room had some dents and dings here and there but hey its a place to sleep, eat, and shower.
Room has a two flatscreen tvs up and downstairs and the beds were great to sleep on, the hallways gave our throats a strange tickle as it smelt like mould or pets, we aren't sure but yuck. All in all it was a great experience so I would stay here again.
On a funny note the only thing that woke me up at 2:00 am was a group of adults skinny dipping in the pool and hot tub only to be escorted out by hotel staff. Only in WhisterHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Pamela V.Burnaby, BC8225169Oct 5, 2017
We have had the pleasure to stay in this comfortable little hotel. The decor is a little old but the rooms are clean and well kept. The kitchen has the basic necessities and perfect of staying for longer period of time. The bed is very comfortable. Lovely balcony with a nice view. Perfect location and in walking distance to everything around. Good value for money

I purchased this reservation 30 plus days in advance. Then unfortunately within two weeks of the booking my girlfriend had medical issue come up that would prevent her from skiing. I requested the hotel refund, or hold the value of the reservation for a later date when we both could enjoy the hotel. I offered to provide a doctors note to share the condition. Both were denied.

I was a little nervous staying here after seeing the reviews but I think they are horrendously unfair. This is not the Pan Pacific. If you want a $400 a night experience this is not the place to stay - expectations need to be realistic.
Service was great every time we interacted - phone calls, emails, during check in and at check out. In fact they worked hard to help accommodate our request to score an extra few hours of parking.
The room was awkwardly set up, but had a lot to offer. We had a queen loft room which offered a nice balcony and real fireplace. They offer wood for sale at the front desk for $5 provided you fail to bring any. The tv is right above the fireplace which has a tiny 2 person love seat across from it. This was my biggest complaint. Give us a real sofa! There is not enough storage in the room because the closet didn't have a light so you could barely see. We shoved our stuff in the corner (with an unnecessary stand up light). That space would have been better utilized by moving the light and adding a shelf. We didn't even use the dresser upstairs because why drag stuff upstairs?!?
The hot tub is nice - and across the street at the partner location. It's outdoor by the pool. If you need towels ask the front desk!
Totally worth staying at close to the lifts if you're on a budget. Did I mention they are dog friendly?? Huge plus (although there are a limited number of grassy spots close by for your pooch).
By the way - the WIFI is FREE. Anyone who posts otherwise is behind the times.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
