Came for a pastry and coffee in the morning. The cafe is nice - it has a clean, spacious layout with some art on the walls. I came on Sunday morning around 8 and had the place to myself. The barista was really friendly. Even though this part of Broadway feels a little dead with all the construction going on, there's a calm vibe in the shop where you can forgot that they're tearing it up outside.
The menu has some interesting and different stuff on it right now, and the scones and muffins all looked and sounded very good so it was a tough choice, but I went with a strawberry goat cheese muffin and a rosemary vanilla latte. I also got a sample of the apple pecan power muffin! I could've used more pronounced flavours in both the strawberry goat cheese muffin and coffee - for my taste, they both had a little too much sweet and not quite enough substance, but the base concept was good. The apple muffin sample was less sweet. It was nice to have the strawberry muffin warmed for me. The prices are about average. I would come back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 2, 2023
The chai was lackluster but I always love the Spanish latte here. Was a bit peckish and got a cranberry oatmeal cookie and they warmed it up and it was soooooo good.
Glad it's in the neighborhood.
I do wonder why it's always empty. Wondering if it's because it's on a busy street or not enough pedestrians nearby or what.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 18, 2021First to Review
Café Artigiano took over the previous Starbucks location that was here.
BTW so many Starbucks have closed up shop over the last 2 years - how about in your neck of the woods?
Located on the high street - Broadway - times are quite interesting along here as the new subway line is being built with construction in full swing!
Fortunately at this time one can still easily manuver & travel up & down, east to west & vice versa without too much delay.
CA is a funky coffee chain with 'in your face' art deco painting inside & out.
I've dropped in on their Kerrisdale, Park Royal Mall, The Shipyards District (North Vancouver) & downtown (off Robson) locations many a time.
CA born in Vancouver, has been going strong for over 20 years.
This location is 'out of the way' however, if you're in need of sporting apparel & such, well you've come to the right spot!
Sports Junkies (deals), Soccer West & Sports Chek are all nearby.
Today I was walking about & needed a cold drink to cool down from the heat - ice coffee it was.
CAs signature drink for me is their Spanish Latte!
Pop in & try it!Helpful 69Thanks 0Love this 71Oh no 0
