One of the easiest ways to tell Tegan and Sara apart (besides tattoos and hairstyles) is the shape of their faces.

Tegan has a very strong jawline. It makes her face look a little wider. She also has a labret piercing, although she doesn’t always wear it. Her hairstyle changes quite often. when I first found them she had a mullet, then a couple months later she cut it all off. So going by hairstyle usually isn’t the best way to tell.

Her tattoos (if you can see her arms) is a really helpful hint. She has less than Sara, but hers are usually a little larger in size. The easiest one to identify is the tree on her forearm. It’s in a place that is easy to see, and it has color that stands out well against her skin.

Sara, on the other hand, has slightly more delicate facial features. Because her jaw isn’t defined like Tegan’s, her cheekbones stand out. Her hairstyle also changes quite often, though not as much as Tegan’s.

In terms of her tattoos, she has two little ones on her right wrist. One on the inside, and one on the outside. She has a few more than Tegan does, but hers are smaller and not as many are in places that are easy to see.
