U.S. Customs and Border Protection says they've recovered 13 pieces of ancient Aztec artifacts on July 24 that date back to the 10th century.

According to U.S. Customs, the shipment originally came from Mexico and was on its way to a home in Sumter, South Carolina.

Upon further inspection, Customs says an expert dated the items between 1100 through 1532 AD. The expert also found 12 adzes, which are tools meant for chopping, and one skull.
