Diagnosed with bipolar disorder, type 1 with psychotic features at the age of 16, Kim quickly realized her calling to help others like she has been helped.
- With her illness in remission since 2010, Kim now owns and operates her own private practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Humbled by the growth and grace God has allowed in her life, Kim longs to equip and empower others to break free from the shame & stigma of mental illness by effectively learning to manage the symptoms of their illness.

Kim’s global award winning book “A Mind Restored: Finding Freedom from the Shame & Stigma of Mental Illness” was published by Trilogy Christian Publishers on January 3rd, 2024.
Her inspirational writing style is memoir, self-help, and Christian Inspiration.
