Western Brook Pond is located in scenic Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland. The rock cliffs that surround this inland fjord were carved out by glaciers and are 2000 feet (609 m) high. After the glaciers melted, the land rose up and the fjord was cut off from the ocean.
