Can You Believe This Red Pool?
Major kudos to the person who came up with the red pool idea. It’s almost as cool as black bottom pools. I can just see it now. You’re at a pool one day, marvelling at how the blue painted bottom makes the water look blue…
All of a sudden it dawns on you! If you painted the bottom red would the water look red?
When I first started researching the bloody pool trend, I genuinely thought the water was red. I dunno, I guess I figured it was eco-friendly dye or something like that. Boy was I wrong.
Why Would Anyone Want A Red Pool?
Personally, I think the red pool looks really cool. Blue pools are so ten years ago, amirite?
Called “red bottom pools”, they’re hip, glamorous, and a solid nod to goth, which is becoming more and more mainstream.
So why would anyone really want a pool that looks like it’s full of blood? They’re badass, alright? They’re different. Dracula would approve, which is always a good metric. And plus, they look really cool in selfies and in Instagram feeds.
Furthermore, the red pool is super popular around Halloween. People are calling it “Dracula’s Hot Tub’, and painting their pools red for the season. Scary, right? It’s really simple to do, you just need to have the commitment to changing the colour of the paint at the bottom of your pool.
We should mention that this doesn’t sound slightly eco-friendly or cost efficient, btw.
Where Can You Find A Red Swimming Pool?
Let’s be honest: As cool as it looks, you likely won’t be painting the bottom of your pool red anytime soon. Why bother with the commitment when you can hit up some of these hot resorts and hotels, and lounge poolside there?
The Library, Koh Samui, Thailand
This pool at The Library is especially hot with influencers because the surroundings are so elegant. Not to mention you’re in Thailand, and it’s hard to go wrong with Thailand.
Hotel Unique, Sao Paulo, Brazil
Located in the Beverly Hills of Sao Paolo, the eclectic Hotel Unique is designed carbon-neutral, and has individual touch in every aspect of its design. The unique pool is one of many of its amazing features.
Hard Rock Hotel, Los Cabos, Mexico
This pool at the Hard Rock Hotel in Los Cabos has a DJ booth in the middle, and offers up non-stop rocker vibes. Personally, I’d like to party here. Look at that view!
