When a Honda NSX appears on the market it’s usually a cause to stop and appreciate one of the finest and most desirable cars to come out of Japan. However, when a first-generation 1992 NSX that’s in near-stock and immaculate condition surfaces, the automotive world is put into a spin. Thankfully for gear heads then, the car you see above is exactly that, and it could be yours thanks to the Australian auction site Collecting Cars.

This JDM classic spent most of its life in Japan before it came to Australia last year, and despite it showing 92,516 km on the odometer this NSX is presented in what Collecting Cars calls “time warp original condition.” With that in mind, the “Formula Red” NSX has been given a ceramic coating and a professional detailing job to preserve it for at least another three years, with only a few signs of wear on the hood showing its age and mileage.

Most of the car is left in factory condition, however, it does come with a number of tasteful modifications too. For example, a clean set of 17-inch Tecnomagnesio alloy wheels have been added, but the original OEM parts also come with the sale of the car. Elsewhere, we find new trunk struts, sun visors, and central air conditioning vents that are all brand-new OEM components, as well as a KSP exhaust, an NA-2 model front lip, and inside, a Momo steering wheel and Type S gear shifter.

While the power output of this particular car is unknown, the NSX does feature its original 3.0-litre naturally aspirated V6 and a five-speed manual which, according to original factory documents, should send 270 HP to the rear wheels.

Currently, the 1992 Honda NSX is sitting at $115,600 AUD (approx. $90,000 USD), but with three days of bidding left this price is sure to shoot up. Take a look at the NSX above, and head over to Collection Cars’ website to find more.
