Blue Concinnus Garter Snake

The Blue Thamnophis sirtalis concinnus is an uncommon and fascinating subspecies of T.sirtalis that is rarely kept in captivity.

These snakes have a relatively slender build. Females can grow to be quite long, easily reaching 30-35 inches in length, while males tend to stay much smaller and typically measure around 27-30 inches in total length.

When housed in a terrarium, these snakes are highly visible and a delight to observe, provided that the temperature is not too hot. They can often be found basking under a heat lamp, either on a branch or on the ground. Additionally, they are incredible eaters and not shy about it.
