Oscar De La Hoya is one of five fighters who have been in the ring with both Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, and though De La Hoya lost both of those fights, they were both far more exciting than the Mayweather-Pacquiao bout that couldn’t live up to the hype. After Mayweather improved to 48-0 by unanimous decision, De La Hoya apologized to boxing fans and criticized the fighters for failing to put on the show they promised.

De La Hoya then said he was “spoiled” by the career of Mexican legend Julio César Chávez, who was undefeated through his first 90 fights.
