There is no copy-paste map present.
The image you show is an entirely separate map layout where the only similarity is the river direction.

They took the river route, and that’s it.
Topography and city design is entirely different, which drastically changes tactics

My experiences:

  • too big space added between houses(B2,C2,D2).

  • Houses location not provide enought cover also. Only positive is the MALL which provide a perfect ambush position, but sadly this look like a fortress and to approach you need to pass an opened fields also.

  • Not to talk other part of the city is full cat and mouse where the stronger will win and hard to escape. (F2F3,E2,E3)

  • In other hand the river and his two side too opened and too much way exit where take a shot from anywhere and become as a bloody deadly area(no mans land) which everybody want to avoid.(entire river part) (marked with green(lime)). Not to talk the roads also too opened which allow us to enter the river bank, or which exist next to the river banks.

  • The squares are too opened so also a same bloody deadly area.(E2)

  • The fields part too opened too small covers exists you can’t pass safety. (marked with blue) Except near spawn which covered by (small) hills which have a negatie effect on low gun depression tanks+ if want to climb it it take time and perfect target while not enter the top of the small hills.

  • From Spawn points and city part also need to pass throught and opened field and easily get shot from lot of way.

  • …and spawn on image not covered. from field side get shot or safety approach by R.A.T.(Really Annoying Tanks) easily.

  • Also i forgot to mention it added some part from Campania as well.(F6-7,E6-7)

From this reasons i will put BAN in AB and dislike in RB.

…which make it more opened… yes you need to change tactic. Thats true. River and river banks too opened, Field part too opened, squares same. Alleys and roads also too opened, and safety ways limited

need decide camping in background or run into an ambush in city part by campers… from everywhere

some tanks are useless at long range so it goes both ways

even they themselves say it in their own dev blog that they have taken another map and remade it.
Jesus Christ.
not only river but also:
*bridge locations,
*general town layout with some streets moved,
*several houses are in the EXACT same position,
*the big picture layout (where there is flat areas and where there are forests and where there are *town/roads.

Bridge locations don’t matter when you can cross anywhere.
Town layout is entirely different.
Topography is entirely different.
I played the map, so I know this already.

Of course you’ll likely prove that the map is different.

do you really want me to spend an hour in photoshop combining the maps and marking all the places where they are EXACTLY the same?

du you even know what the word “entirely” means?
because if i just point out ONE house that is the same then you are no longer correct.

This is what i found within 5 minutes. There is A LOT more (and i do mean A LOT) but i cant be bothered because this should be enough to make you admit you are wrong.
Green=roads
Yellow=buildings
Red=Bridge
River is self-explanatory
made the bottom bridge orange because the new map angles it the other way.

exactly why I said it wasn’t worth it, although I’ve played on the map and the extra buildings do make it play a little differently with the extra cover

No he’s not. Have you actually played the map?
If you had, you would not think it was based on the old one unless you knew it was supposed to be.
Which is a shame. I would have liked a more closely updated version of ye olde map.

oh i have never stated that it wouldn’t PLAY completely differently (or feel different for that matter).
i can totally see that it feels VERY different to play just by the changes made.
but that does not change the fact that it basically is a copy paste map with tweaks, some changes and additional new areas of town and buildings.
like objectively it has a vast majority in common with the old map.
BUT subjectively it will very likely play and feel very different.

maps like this are good anyway, open areas on the sides for tanks that play better at range and an urban area for tanks that play better up close

oh yes, i like it :) it will be fun to play once it hits the live server :)

i’m just refuting the fact that AlvisWisla (aka; RazerVon) claims that the maps are “entirely different”.

Addition:
This map is fit for RB and not really fit for AB with his concept.

3/4 of the maps are urban or focused CQC so is extremly biased for one way.
