The Twilight star reacted to his popularity among his ex-girlfriend's fanbase over the weekend, telling PEOPLE at a gala event that the title "sounds like a nice compliment to me," adding, "I will take it." Lautner and Swift met in 2009, on set of the 2010 romance comedy Valentine's Day, and dated for a few months. He added, "So that sounds like a nice thing. I'll take it and run. No complaints here." "In my mind they're not even exes," Lautner's wife added, noting that Swift is a good friend to the two. Lautner recently starred opposite Joey King and Presley Cash in Swift's music video for "I Can See You (Taylor's Version)," a vault track from her Speak Now re-release, that debuted over the summer. In July, Lautner, joined by King and Cash, also made a surprise appearance at the Kansas City stop of Swift's Eras tour in celebration of the video release. "And it's a different level of passion. So that was just pretty surreal. Twilight fans are definitely insanely passionate themselves, so I had experienced a taste of that — [but] never 75,000 of them at once." Swift is currently on the South American leg of her expansive Eras tour, and she'll soon be hitting Asia and Europe next year.
