Summary[edit]

Description

In Communist Czechoslavakia western pop music was banned and in death John Lennon became a peace hero. A painting of him appeared on this wall, which became the focus of peace loving, oppressed youth. That image has long since disappeared, but the symbolism of love and peace remains (Even if it now comes from British and American tourists, with the graffiti being rather cheesy and predictable).

Win or lose, sink or swim One thing is certain, we'll never give in Side by side, hand in hand We all stand together...

Sorry, wrong Beatle.
