All You Need To Know About The Split Leaf Philodendron

The Split Leaf Philodendron (Monstera deliciosa) is a large, shrub with a tropical appearance. Its oversize foliage makes for a dramatic feature in any lowcountry landscape.

The Split Leaf Philodendron has leathery-looking, glossy, dark green foliage that stretched out far from it trunk. It needs space to grow outwards and upwards as its foliage can grow 8 to 10 feet tall and 6 feet or more wide. The split leaf only needs the occasional trimming of an old leaf or stem (it can not be pruned for size or shape). This plant is hardy and deer resistant, only requesting filtered light or shade and normal watering practices. The Split Leaf Philodendron can be a focal point in landscape beds, sit on its own, be planted in containers, or is small groups to create a dramatic twist in your landscape.
