Gigi Leung to play Aaron Kwok's wife for the first time in new movie
10 Jan – Gigi Leung is excited about her upcoming movie with Aaron Kwok, "The Ring Finger" (working title).
The singer-actress, who was seen at the launching ceremony of the movie project, shared that while the two of them will play a couple, it will neither be sweet nor romantic.
"I play an incompetent mother who abandons her husband and daughter. Although there are not many scenes, a few scenes will explain the fragility of human nature, why my character does what she does and the audience will sympathise with her," she said.
Gigi also stated that both she and Aaron agreed that their characters in the movie are different than who they are in real life. The mother of one stated that this particular role would be the hardest one yet.
"As a mother, whenever I see children, the mother in me would automatically act up. So, I think that playing such a mother would be very challenging for me," she said.
The upcoming movie reportedly will have Aaron playing a squash athlete who has to leave his career in order to take care of his ailing daughter.
Although Gigi and Aaron have been in a movie together before in "The Monkey King", this will be the first time they will play husband and wife.
