Heritage holds a significant place in Aurora's identity! It's crucial that we remain steadfast in our efforts to preserve and celebrate our town's rich heritage. That's why I'm introducing a motion to establish a Heritage Grant Program, similar to existing programs in municipalities like Toronto, Kitchener, King, Guelph, Ottawa, and many other municipalities. It's our responsibility to create clear policies for our town, and this initiative aligns with that goal. A Heritage Grant Program would offer financial support to property owners for the preservation and restoration of heritage properties.
