TMMC is celebrating Mental Health Week from May 6th to 12th! During this week, we aim to come together to shine a light on the importance of mental well-being and compassion in the workplace. This year’s theme, in alignment with the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), is a call to be kind. Even the smallest act of kindness can make a big difference.

Congratulations and thank you to Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada! As a sponsor of the Spirit Awards and the winner of this year’s Outstanding Workplace Campaign (200+ employees), TMMC truly sets the gold standard as an incredible community partner! Year after year, TMMC models best practices for running a successful workplace campaign, continuing to grow in employee engagement and dollars raised. This year they raised an incredible $706,000, exceeding their own goals and expectations! TMMC supports United Way with a holistic approach, checking all the boxes - corporate match, employee giving, sponsored employee program, event participation and sponsorship. TMMC went above and beyond in March, inviting local businesses and entrepreneurs for a plant tour, and a session explaining why United Way is a part of their Corporate Social Responsibility plan. Senior Executive, Derek Kidnie sits on our Campaign Cabinet, representing TMMC. Employee volunteerism is an important value at TMMC, with huge participation in our Day of Caring activities. TMMC also provides United Way with volunteers to sit on our funding application review team. Their internal campaign committee is led by Suzanne Baal and Olivia Kalbfleisch and we are incredibly grateful for their support to our community! #SpiritAward2024 #TMMC #UnitedWayWRC

TMMC is proud to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County! Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County enables life-changing mentoring relationships to ignite the power and potential of young people. Since the summer of 2022, the agency has seen a 200% increase in applications for mentors. The S.O.A.R Program, which stands for Social Opportunities Activities Relationships, was created to engage young people as they wait to be matched with a mentor. Small groups of mentees are matched with a mentor who leads them through activities while building connections and new friendships. TMMC donated $25,000 to help fund this program, including training and materials.
