This 1966 Ford Econoline is a half-ton pickup that is finished in orange & white over white vinyl upholstery and is powered by a 240ci inline-six paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. The truck underwent a refurbishment under previous ownership in 2008 that included included repainting the body, installing Procar seats, and rebuilding the engine. Additional equipment includes an electric cooling fan, Vintage Air air conditioning, and a JVC CD stereo with a subwoofer. This Econoline pickup is offered at no reserve in California with refurbishment photos, spare parts, service receipts, and a clean Montana title registered to the seller’s LLC.
The body was reportedly stripped back to bare metal in 2008 and repainted in orange with white accents down the sides. Equipment includes white-painted bumpers and Ford lettering on the tailgate, black side steps, and twin front grilles.
White-painted 14″ steel wheels with bright Ford center caps are wrapped in 215/70 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drum brakes. A spare wheel and tire are mounted in the bed.
The cabin houses twin Procar seats trimmed in white vinyl which were added in 2021, and a rubber mat protects the painted floors. Amenities include aftermarket air conditioning, a factory AM radio, fuzzy dice, and a JVC CD stereo with a subwoofer. Due to the seat height, taller drivers may need to recline the seats to avoid contacting the headliner.
A black-finished steering wheel with a chrome horn ring frames a painted dash housing a 100-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 2,100 miles, approximately 250 of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. A spare horn ring is included in the sale.
The 240ci inline-six is housed between the seats and is said to have been rebuilt under previous ownership. Modifications include an electric cooling fan and a Vintage Air air-conditioning system that was added in 2016. An oil change was performed in 2021, at which time the fuel pump is said to have been replaced.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a three-speed C4 automatic transmission. The transmission pan gasket is said to leak oil when sitting for extended periods.
An additional photo of the truck during the refurbishment is provided in the gallery.
