WWE Divas: Kharma and the 25 Best Wrestling Divas of All Time

With the arrival of Kharma (formerly Awesome Kong) into the WWE, many of the viewers are feeling good about the direction of the Divas division.

For the first time in a long time, there may be some decent wrestling going on rather than just the "barbie dolls" rolling around for a couple of minutes to fill time (not that I have a problem with that).

I'm only going to be looking at the WWE Divas of past and present.

I am taking into account accomplishments from other wrestling companies as long as they spent some time with WWE.

This isn't a "Who's the Best Looking" countdown, but rather a look at some of the most talented female wrestlers in the game, whether that be in the ring or lurking on the outside.

So without further ado, one guy's opinion of the Top 25 Wrestling Divas of All Time...

Let's kick the countdown off right.

Even though Vickie Guerrero hasn't accomplished a whole lot inside the ring, she continues to be one of the top heels in the company and is always a factor on the outside.

She's done everything from being a manager of a World Champion to winning Slammy Awards and deserves to be recognized in the Top 25.

The majority of Gail Kim's success came in TNA before returning to WWE for a second time back in 2009.

She's a former TNA and WWE Women's champion and also earned the TNA Knockout of the Year award in 2007.

Her career should continue to take off this year, as she will most likely feud with Kharma. The two of them have had numerous great matches in the past.

Torrie Wilson's career began in WCW and continued on into WWE when Vince McMahon purchased WCW.

Although she was never a major player in the championship scene, she did use her popularity from WWE and used it to launch her Playboy appearance and launched her into the mainstream media.

Her longevity in the wrestling business, which spans almost a decade, gets her on the list.

Jacqueline's wrestling career started way back in 1989, and she blossomed into one of the most successful female wrestlers of all time.

She's a former WWE Women's Champion and even got her hands on the WWE Cruiserweight title after defeating Chavo Guerrero in 2004.

She may be just as much remembered as the drunk valet for Beer Money as she was as a wrestler.

Bull Nakano's height of popularity was in the mid 1990s where she often feuded with Alundra Blayze.

Nakano is also a former WWE Women's Champion after defeating Blayze for the strap.

Nakano's WWE reign ended prematurely when some drug problems came to the surface. Nakano and Blayze continued their feud in WCW.

Unrelated but a cool note is that Bull Nakano is also a professional golfer. How about that?

Victoria has been successful in both WWE and TNA. She is a multiple champion of both companies and currently wrestles in TNA under the ring name Tara.

After breaking poor Candice Michelle's nose back in 2006 her claim to fame was trying to "take out" the other Divas on the roster with her vicious finisher, 'Widows Peak'.

Molly Holly is a two-time WWE Women's Champion and also captured the WWE Hardcore Championship one one occasion.

She is most remembered for her loss at WrestleMania XX where she lost to Victoria and was forced to shave her head.

Holly still shows up occasionally on the independent wrestling scene.

The former Baltimore Ravens cheerleader and WCW Nitro Girl has always been most known for her almost six foot frame and crazy long legs.

Kiebler was another of the WWE Divas who was able to use her popularity and jump-start her career in television, appearing on Dancing With The Stars.

Even after her departure from WWE, Kiebler has shown up in some of their projects such as the Raw Diva Search and Tough Enough.

Melina is one of the more underrated Divas on the roster.

She's a five time WWE Womens/Divas Champion. Count 'em, FIVE.

She may be most known as being a trouble-maker behind the scenes in the locker room, but her accomplishments can't be ignored.

Miss Elizabeth is one of the original Divas of the WWE.

She wasn't known for her in-ring abilities but certainly paved the way for valets such as Vickie Guerrero.

Miss Elizabeth's career spanned over 15 years and most of it was by the side of Macho Man Randy Savage.

I'd like to hope most people remember her for what she gave to the sports entertainment world but unfortunately I'm not sure that's the case.

Miss Elizabeth died at age 42 from a drug overdose in 2003 and that's what a lot of people think of what they think of her.

Luna Vachon never got the chance to hold the WWE Womens/Divas Championship but she did hold various titles in other promotions.

Vachon was most known as a manager for Bam Bam Bigelow and was also the first female to appear in a WWE video game way back in 1994.

Much like Miss Elizabeth before her, many people remember Luna Vachon's death just as much as her career. Luna was found dead at age 48 in her home in 2010 and the death was deemed an accidental overdose.

The Glamazon has been wrestling since her high school days and is currently a three-time WWE Women's Champion.

Along with being the Diva of the Year 2008, she is clearly one of the most talented female wrestlers on the roster and with her switch back to Raw via the 2011 Draft, expect big things from her the rest of the year.

This might be a little low for Wendi Richter but unfortunately for her, I didn't see much of her career.

From everything I've read, she was a fantastic wrestler and paved the way for many of the current WWE Divas.

She left WWE in the late 1980s after being screwed (in real life) by Vince McMahon, who had been at odds with Richter over her contract.

She is a former two-time WWE Womens Champion and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2010.

Who doesn't love a little Mae Young?

The majority of her success was when the wrestling landscape was still divided into regional promotions.

Honestly, I can't hold that against her. She's been wrestling since the 1930s, I'll cut her some slack.

She's a multiple time champion of the old NWA and at 88-years old, is still seen on WWE programming from time to time.

Sunny is always right at the forefront of any "original Diva" conversation.

Sunny was in her heyday in the 1990s while managing The Bodydonnas.

She is a two-time Slammy Award winner and just like others on this list, she may not have been a premier female wrestler, she's just too important of a personality to not be included on a Top Divas list.

Sunny was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011.

Alundra Blayze was one of the premier Divas of the mid-1990s and held championships from numerous companies.

Blayze is a former three-time WWE Womens Champion and also held titles in WCW, AWA and over in Japan.

Her feuds with Bull Nakano among others are thought as some of the greatest ever for women's wrestling.

She is most known for jumping from WWE to WCW in 1995 and dropping the WWE Womens title belt in the trash on live television.

Michelle McCool has risen into the top ten Divas of all time due to a few different reasons.

Don't get me wrong, she is definitely talented but when you are the real life wife of The Undertaker, it certainly has some benefits.

McCool is a four-time WWE Womens/Divas Champion and a two-time Slammy Award Winner.

McCool was also listed in Pro Wrestling Illustrated as the #1 female wrestler of 2010.

She is currently taking time off to be with her injured husband but I would expect to see her back in the ring at some point.

Sable transcended the Diva role when she was introduced to the WWE Universe back in 1996.

Sable also used her popularity in WWE to jump into other projects, most notably her cover shoots for Playboy in 1999.

Sable was the first WWE Diva to pose for Playboy and opened the door for other Divas to use their popularity to receive other opportunities.

Along with being one of the pioneers for WWE Divas she did hold the WWE Womens Championship on one occasion, is a two-time Slammy Award winner and is currently married to former WWE wrestler and MMA fighter Brock Lesnar.

Lita is a former four-time WWE Womens Champion and is most known for her feud involving Matt Hardy and Edge which has real-life implications.

Lita was dating Matt Hardy in 2005 but had an affair with Edge leading to an in-ring rivalry where Lita was in Edge's corner.

Lita also came back from a major neck injury where she broke three vertebrae. She is known as one of the toughest female wrestlers of all time and has done everything from winning championships to having a live sex scene on Raw.

Mickie James is a six-time WWE Womens/Divas Champion. Since bursting onto the scene in the WWE in 2005, she went from a crazed fan to multi-time champion.

Mickie has won titles in multiple promotions and was named the No.1 female wrestler by Pro Wrestling Illustrated in 2009.

Mickie is currently the TNA Knockouts Champion and often regarded as the top female in regards to wrestling ability in all of professional wrestling.

Sensational Sherri was one of the top Diva managers of all time. She stood by some of the biggest players in the game such as Randy Savage, Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair.

Sherri was a great wrestler in her own right and is a former WWE Womens Champion.

Her other accolades include Manager of the Year in 1991 and inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006.

Unfortunately she is another statistic in a long line of controversial deaths in the Diva ranks. Sherri was found dead in 2007 at age 49 after an accidental overdose of multiple drugs.

Chyna was one of the most powerful WWE Divas in history. She was most popular with her time in D-Generation X as the brawn behind Shawn Michaels and Triple H in the late 1990s.

She is a former WWE Womens Champion and even more impressive are her three reigns as the Intercontinental Champion.

Chyna is another Diva that used her popularity to jump into other projects such as Playboy shoots, televisons and movie appearnances.

After a stint on Celebrity Rehab she is currently attempting a wrestling comeback in TNA.

Kharma, formerly Awesome Kong is one of the most decorated champions in the history of female wrestling.

She has accumulated over ten championships in multiple wrestling companies all over the United States and Japan.

She recently debuted in the WWE and it is only a matter of time until she wins the Divas Championship and changes the face of Divas wrestling forever.

Along with her championships she was also named the top female wrestler by Pro Wrestling Illustrated in 2008.

The Fabulous Moolah is widely known as one of the top female wrestlers of all time.

She began her career in the 1940s and rose to the top of the NWA. She held the NWA World Womens Championship five times and often held it for long periods of time.

She is also a former four-time WWE Womens Champion and was the first to don the strap.

The Fabulous Moolah was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 1995 and passed away at age 84 in 2007.

Trish Stratus comes in at No. 1 on my list of the top Diva wrestlers of all time.

Her accomplishments are second to none.

Trish was the WWE Womens Champion on seven occasions. She was named the Diva of the Decade and even snuck in a WWE Hardcore Championship win back when the title changed hands every ten seconds.

She was named the top women's wrestler by Pro Wrestling Illustrated on 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2006.

After retiring from WWE in 2006 to pursue other opportunites on television, Trish came back to the WWE earlier this year and was announced as a Tough Enough trainer.

Trish also competed at WrestleMania 27 and picked up the win, teaming up with John Morrison and Snooki.

I'm not sure if we'll see much more of Trish in the ring but if we don't, she should go down as the top WWE Diva of all time.
