New York: Fay, (E.B.), 1880s. Two (2) 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" black and white advertising cards promoting (E.B.) Fay, 100 Nassau Street, New York. Fay was a dealer in photography. The Silhouette design exemplifies the fashion craze of the late 1870s and early 1880s. Each card portrays the woman standing at about a 45 degree angle with the prominent exaggeration of the bustle or Grecian Bend. The first is captioned The "Grecian Bend," Drawing Room Dress. The second reads "She Stoops to Conquer". Fay, 100 Nassau Street printed at base. Reverse is blank.
