I highly recommend the Philip Burke exhibition, “The Likeness of Being,” at Buffalo State College’s Burchfield Penney Art Center. Burke’s portraits are painted on large canvases – one doesn’t get the full effect, by any means, viewing them in the magazines where the images are published.
