Kawasaki Rose Tutorial

20 November 2011

During the summer, I posted a picture of some Kawasaki roses I made.  In the post, you can see how the paper you use can make a big difference on the outcome of the rose.

So far, I have only seen diagrams online for the “New Kawasaki Rose,” which is more difficult to fold than the original diagram (in my opinion). Luckily I accidentally stumbled upon a picture diagram of the Kawasaki Rose that uses the original folding method that Kawasaki teaches. Download the diagram (PDF file). The instructions are in Portuguese, but the pictures are simple to follow.

The two-part video tutorial below uses a similar folding method as the picture diagram.

Have you ever made a Kawasaki Rose? Did you succeed?

I made one, a few months ago. Recently, I wanted to make another one, and did not succeed.
