Cactus Cleistocactus Winteri Cristata

Cactus develops in a whimsical way that makes him enjoy a very characteristic figure.

Here’s a little special cactus. It is the Cleistocactus winteri var. cristata. It is commonly called rat-tailed cactus and is native to Bolivia. It is the crested variety of the cactus cleistocactus winteri.

The crested variety will never know how it grows, because it always grows in its air. It forms small but very thick stems that resemble very thick crests. They are completely covered with very fine, small, yellow-colored spines pulling to gold. On the contrary, it has surprisingly fast growth.

It wants direct sunny flight, but it is also important that at the strongest hours of the day, it is not touched. We can solve this by putting something in its shadow. At least if no parasol is available, it can always be placed in a semi-shadow place. In the summer, it must be irrigated generously, allowing the substrate to partly dry up between irrigation and irrigation. As winter approaches, it must decrease and even withdraw water supplies until the following spring.
