'Vogue' editor-in-chief Anna Wintour ditches signature style for an athleisure look

This is not a drill.

One of fashion's biggest names, Anna Wintour, is switching up her signature polished style while social distancing amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

Vogue posted a rare photo on Monday of Wintour jogging in ... wait for it ... a sporty athleisure look.

She wore a Tory Sport by Tory Burch tracksuit with Nike sneakers that was paired with her go-to bob haircut and dark sunglasses.

The popular editor-in-chief was quoted in the caption saying, "I, like you, I'm sure, dream of re-emergence. But what will that re-emergence look like?"

She continued, "I think we've all gotten past the idea that life will simply snap back to normal."

In an essay titled "My Dream of Re-emergence," Wintour mentions that she has started running every morning again to structure her days.

"Anna Wintour... is wearing... athleisure?? These really are unprecedented times." Whitney Bauck wrote in a comment as a reaction to Vogue's casual post of Wintour.

@Dibayn_grease1102 chimed in responding to Wintour's words saying, "Been thinking on this line of thoughts as well...what is normal life after this?"

Since posting, Wintour's athleisure style post has received more than 69,000 likes with lots of fans applauding her look and insight.

Known to usually be spotted in a printed dress or tweed jacket and pumps, this is the second time in recent weeks that Wintour took fans by surprise with a casual look.

In March, she also was featured on Vogue's Instagram wearing a striped sweater and jeans while cuddling her dog.

Wintour was quoted in the caption saying, I know that we have challenges ahead–and please can everyone remember to stay home and be safe—but I also know we can get through it together, and even find moments of joy along the way."
